Angela May George

Angela May George is the author of CBCA shortlisted book, OUT. A heart warming tale of a young girl seeking asylum with her mother.

In 2017 Angela won the Australian Family Therapists Association Book of the Year award for OUT.

Angela’s debut novel, HOW I DIDN’T STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR was shortlisted for the Speech Therapists Association Book Awards and has gained attention as a novel that celebrates cultural diversity through humour and warmth. Her eagerly awaited follow up novel, STEP UP, SHINE ON will be released mid 2020.

Angela has contributed to an anthology of Australian poetry in the much-loved CBCA Notable title, A BOAT OF STARS.

Angela lives in western Sydney with her husband, three children, two doggies and two guinea pigs!
