Kristin Darell is a writing all-rounder. For more than 25 years she shared true stories as a broadcast journalist for the Seven Network and Australian News Channel. More recently Kristin has enjoyed flexing her creative muscles, writing middle-grade fiction. She was part of the national winning team for Write a Book in a Day (WABIAD) four years in a row. She went on to publish four co-authored novellas and the middle-grade novel Into Tordon, with 9 other authors. Kristin has also shared short stories and essays on writing in a number of Australian anthologies. Whether it is fiction or non-fiction, inspiring children to write alone or by collaborating is her passion. She enjoys running writing workshops for children in schools inspiring kids to find new ways to share the stories of their time and their world. Kristin is currently collaborating on a new YA series and writing a middle-grade novel. She is also working as the Program Manager for the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation.
